Last-Minute Holiday Gift Guide
by RyLee Matangi, Purposeful Toys
We are long-time Safarifans, and given the overflowing giant bucket we have in our toy closet plus our 15+ sensory kits that we have created using Safari Ltd® TOOBS, it’s safe to say we are a bit obsessed with our Safari Ltd figurines!
Are you currently doing an advent calendar of some sort? Safari Ltd TOOBS® are the perfect additions to your countdown. We have especially loved the addition of the Nativity Super TOOB® in our advent calendar this year. It has been such a fun way for us to talk about the meaning of the season and the people involved in that first Christmas night. Just add in a Farm TOOB® or other Arctic Figurines to create fun holiday themed sensory bins for your kids to explore. Figurines from the Gnome Family Designer TOOB® make great “elves” to use in small world play. Check out Safari Ltd.’s blog for Winter Sensory Bin ideas.
Organized Bin of TOOBS
My girls gasped when I brought out the Multicolored Organizing Bin filled with a variety of Safari Ltd. TOOBS! The containers fit TOOBS, Life Cycle Toys, as well as bulk bags (separated into two of the smaller containers).
Small world play is about to get real with this incredible organized bin that keeps things perfectly neat, tidy, and easily accessible.
They are the perfect size to create a fun small world set up and having an organized container for you to quickly put together a sensory tray is a win for you as well as for your children.
Safari figurines and TOOBs are the perfect stocking stuffers! If you’re looking for specific suggestions, we are currently loving the new Dino Baby Eggs. The baby dinosaurs not only come in a reusable plastic egg, but they also have a QR code that you can scan into the free Dino Dana app for a virtual experience that will amaze your children as you bring the dinosaur to life right in your very own living room! You might also consider adding in the new Dinosaur Activity Book and some larger Dinos for play into their other gifts for a complete set! (You can view my post last month for more of these incredible dinosaur product details here.) Add in a couple of TOOBS to their stockings, some gnomes as elves, metallic mermaids, or some fun “pets” from the pet collection set.
If you’re not sure if your neighbor celebrates Christmas, then you could provide a fun-themed sensory activity. A winter-themed kit including an Arctic TOOB or penguin bulk bag, with some added fake snow, will keep the little ones busy while mom and dad are preparing other holiday festivities.
However you start building your Safari collection this holiday season, we know you will love them as much as we do. Happy Holidays!
