It is modeled like the helmet worn by the main character from the first three Star Wars films, Luke Skywalker, and is cherished by fans all around the world.

Usually with a visor and other Rebel Alliance-inspired markings, the helmet has an appearance similar to that of a flight helmet worn by a Rebel pilot. One of the most well-known instances of Luke Skywalker donning such a helmet was during the pivotal Battle of Yavin in the original Star Wars movie, which was eventually retitled "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope."
