Doing good doesn’t have to be only through grand gestures...we all have the power to make a difference. Many small acts can lead to big changes! We believe that one small way that you can help to encourage environmental change is through conscious purchasing.

Some ways to be a thoughtful, eco-conscious shopper include:

• Support companies that are working to minimize their carbon footprint.
• Choose products that come in sustainable/reusable/recyclable packaging.
• Look for durable products that are built to last (creating less waste), provide environmental educational benefits, or contribute to conservation efforts.
• Opt for second hand purchases, hold a product swap with friends, or rent items when possible. You can truly find some wonderful goodies for resale, rent, or trade. 
• Practice conscious consumption. Before purchasing, consider whether you truly need the item and its long-term environmental impact. Choose items that serve multiple purposes or have a longer lifespan, and avoid impulse purchases contributing to unnecessary waste.

How can plastic animal figurines be an eco-friendly shopping choice?

To start, it is important to note that not all plastic figurines are created equal. Many plastic toys contain oil-based plastics that are produced using non-renewable fossil fuels. Using such finite resources can have a harmful impact on the environment, as well as your child’s health, as they may also contain potential toxins.
