From Cardinals to Eagles: Discover Bird Figurines!

Birds are one of the world’s most fascinating animals. With more than 10,000 different bird species on earth and more than 1 billion birds, there are birds of all sizes, shapes, and colors. 1. Bald Eagles

The US national bird is a favorite for many collectors. It is indigenous to North America and isn’t actually bald! The white feathers covering its head contrast with its dark body feathers, which is why it's called "bald". It mainly eats fish and other animals that live near water. We have two eagle figurines available: a 2” version and a 4.5” version of this incredible bird.

2. Cardinals

This bright red beauty is a frequent visitor to yards in the Eastern US. They are plentiful and beautiful and it’s actually the male that sports that bright red color. 3. Toucans

This colorful and large-beaked bird lives throughout Mexico, and Central and South America. There are more than 40 different species of toucan, all with that distinctive beak. Our mini version is 2.5” tall; just smaller than a deck of cards.

4. South African Penguins

Our South African Penguin toy is hand-painted and looks just like the real thing. These birds swim in African waters and can grow to be close to two feet tall! This figurine is sliding on its stomach and is a little over three inches long.

5. Eagle Owls

Eagle owls are large birds that are the same size as eagles. They’re endemic to Europe. While they eat rodents and small prey, they can also hunt ducks, foxes, and other owls. They can live in a wide variety of habitats and are definitely one of nature’s most majestic birds. They can grow to have a wingspan of more than six feet. Our owl figurine is just a tad smaller at three inches long.

6. Flamingos

Flamingos are endemic to many places, including India, the Middle East, Africa, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. They even visit Florida's warm waters. Their name means “flame-colored” and describes them perfectly. This mini version is three inches tall and is the perfect addition to any bird figurine collection.

7. Quetzal

Quetzals are marvelous exotic birds found in the Mexican and Central American rainforests. They are well known for their long elegant plumes that cover their tails. The quetzal is just one of a variety of birds in our Exotic Birds TOOB.
