Safari Ltd® is always looking for ways to give back to our community, and what better way to do it than with what we do best- toys! On Tuesday, May 21st we visited Miami Children’s Hospital to hand out some of our award winning replicas to the children there. Miami Children’s hospital was founded in the 1950’s and is routinely ranked as one of the best children’s hospitals in the nation.
Upon arriving, we were greeted by their wonderful team who escorted us up to their hand painted play room where over 300 of our toys were already waiting to be handed out. To go along with our Safari theme, we were dressed up as Safari guides and the hospital had provided a craft for the children to do where they created a monkey out of paper and pipe cleaners. The playroom doors opened at 11AM and children slowly began to make their way in, where we greeted them by asking about their favorite animals and letting them choose a toy.
After about an hour of handing out toys to the children who were able to come to the playroom, we loaded up two big red wagons to take toys to children in the Emergency Room. The Derby truck was very popular among young boys, and the girls seemed to favor the queen triggerfish the most. Everyone seemed pleased with their gifts and it was an amazing experience to be able to interact with such incredible children and their parents.
Working with the Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation is always such an amazing experience, and Safari Ltd® looks forward to working with them again in the near future.
