Sensory bins are a wonderful way for children to discover their senses and learn about the world around them. Educators, therapists and parents have long been using Safari Ltd® figurines for their authentic features and attention to detail.
In the spirit of education and popular demand, we are featuring another DIY sensory bin for our fans! This time, we have decided to choose a farm-themed lesson! Using animals from our Farm TOOB®, we will outline how to create a simple and inexpensive sensory bin using figurines, basic materials and tupperware.
Sensory bins can be made using all types of materials. For example, we made an Arctic Sensory bin a while back using some cotton. As always, feel free to be creative and use what is available to you!
Things you’ll need:
- Rocks (The roughness of the rocks a great stimulate for children.)
- Farm TOOB®
- Tupperware
Simply put all the materials together inside the tupperware and you’re finished. Unleash your child’s imagination today!
