Safari Ltd® Supports the Mote Marine Lab

Written by Safari Ltd. | Apr 27, 2017

Safari Ltd® is proud to be a supporter of the Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium, an important organization helping to ensure that life in the sea is protected. To that end, Safari Ltd® has contributed a donation to help Mote further its mission.

Mote features two campuses and an aquarium in Sarasota, FL as well as field stations in in Key West and Summerland Key. Their efforts include coral reef restoration projects, manatee research, and shark, ray and sea turtle conservation programs. Mote is “driven by research, education and excitement” to create a better world for today and tomorrow. Their research initially focused mainly on sharks, but has expanded to include all manner of conservation and restoration efforts.

Here at Safari Ltd®, we believe programs and initiatives like those undertaken by the Mote Marine Laboratory are invaluable to sustaining the natural world around us, so that future generations will be able to experience such wonders firsthand. While we are proud of the accuracy and detail of our sea life figures, they are no substitute for the real thing. We want our replicas to teach people about the amazing creatures that inhabit the world around them, not as memorials to animals we lost because we didn’t do enough until it was too late.

At Mote, they strive to make sure that the life in our seas is protected and will still be around to be enjoyed by our children and our children’s children, and that’s why we at Safari Ltd® wished to help them further their cause with our donation.
