What Makes BiOBUDDi Building Blocks Eco-Friendly?
BiOBUDDi building blocks aren’t your everyday, traditional building blocks. Sure, they look like your average, run of the mill building block. They feel the same too. So what sets them apart? Well, BiOBUDDi is the first plant-based plastic toy building blocks. What makes them so “eco-friendly”? We’re glad you asked…
BiOBUDDi is Made from Renewable, Sustainable Materials
BiOBUDDi toy sets are plant-based blocks. They are made of a plastic called “Green PE” which is derived from the sugarcane plant. This means, unlike traditional oil-based plastics which are made from non-renewable fossil fuels, BiOBUDDi are made from a renewable resource. Eventually, the oil used to create traditional plastics will be used up, but as long as we plant sugarcane, we will have the resources to make bio-based “Green PE”.
Reducing the CO2 Pollution with Eco-Friendly Building Blocks
How does BiOBUDDi help reduce CO2 pollution? The planting of sugarcane helps reduce carbon dioxide (CO2), a harmful greenhouse gas which gets released into the environment by humans, through the use of cars, planes, power plants, and other activities that burn fossil fuels. Sugarcane, like other plants, absorbs carbon dioxide through photosynthesis, and releases oxygen, with humans need to breathe.
BiOBUDDi’s raw materials are actually CO2 neutral, meaning that the CO2 released through production is offset by the planting of new sugarcane, which helps absorb the CO2. Five kilograms of CO2 is offset for every 1 kilogram of material produced, if the product is recycled. If it is not recycled, it is still carbon neutral, but through recycling it actually offsets more carbon dioxide than the process produces.
Using Toy Packaging in Play Means Less Waste
Their packaging features many elements that are meant to be incorporated into playtime! This means there’s less to be thrown away, and less waste going to landfills.
These building block sets feature pop-out characters to interact with the building blocks, and others include large backdrops to help set the scene. These block sets encourage children to make the most of their toys and use every part, including the packaging.
BiOBUDDi Eco-Friendly Building Blocks are 100% Recyclable
Ideally, BiOBUDDi building blocks will be passed down from generation to generation - They may not be made of oil-based plastics, but Green PE is just as playable and durable. But if you do need to discard your block toys, they are 100% recyclable, meaning they can go on being useful to create new products in the future, rather than taking up space in a dump or landfill.
These plant-based building blocks are a durable, long-lasting, and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional building blocks, so why not check them out today?
